Assistant – Cook/Team Leader

Saturday position 6 hours , with additional hours as and when required to cover shifts in the week and evenings.

  • £9.25 Hourly Rate
  • 1 post.

Hours are to be negotiated – we anticipate 25 hours over 4 days with an increase in hours as and when needed. Days and times to meet the needs of the cafe, normal opening hours Tuesday – Friday 9am – 3.30pm, Saturday 9am – 4.30pm.

Opening and closing times are required outside of these hours. Occasional evening and weekend events are held outside of these hours.

The community café focuses on offering food quality and value options that include breakfast, sandwiches and paninis. It is important that you are able to work in a busy environment and ensure that you are able to have orders ready promptly without compromising quality. Preparation and planning will be key.

As a small community café, it is important that you can be versatile with an expectation that you will support the front of house when needed as well as food preparation and cooking.

Saturday Team Member – Part-time

Saturday position 6 hours , with additional hours as and when required to cover shifts in the week and evenings.

  • £8.36-£8.91 hourly rate (Dependent on age)
  • 6 hours per week.
  • 1 post.

This role includes offering a customer experience that makes Hygge a great visit.
A hard-working Hygge Team Member to prepare coffee and sell drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for each drink e.g., espresso, latte, cappuccino flat whites etc. Maximising on selling food with drinks. Serving food to our customers. To look after the café area, keeping it clean and tidy. Inviting guests in and seek returning custom. We are looking for someone with experience in working in a similar environment and also has experience in food prep.
