Hygge – Community Engagement Project Worker

Please note there will be regular evening and weekend work to meet the needs of Hygge; Community Store and Café.

  • NJC SCP 14 £23,080 pro-rata – SCP 15 £23,541 FTE following one years’ service or dependent on experience.
  • 37 hours per week.
  • 1 post.

The role will focus on developing the Community Space within Hygge to deliver innovative activities as well as workshops and training that promotes the work of Rotherham Rise. There will also be a focus on developing, delivering, and implementing a short programme for Rotherham Rise and other VCS service users that uses the uniqueness of Hygge to empower them.

The role will also focus on developing a Domestic Abuse Champion programme. This is a unique opportunity for a dynamic, creative, self-starter.

Hygge – Barista

£8.36-£8.91 hourly rate. (Dependent on experience)

  • Various shift patterns will include weekend work and occasional evening work, providing backup as required to be discussed in application process
  • This role includes offering a customer experience that makes Hygge a great visit.
  • A hard-working barista to prepare coffee and sell drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for each drink e.g., espresso, latte, cappuccino flat whites etc.
  • Maximising on selling food with drinks.
  • Preparing food to be sold.
  • To look after the café area, keeping it clean and tidy.
  • Inviting guests in and promoting return custom.
  • As a Barista with Hygge you will also help in the store, fulfilling orders on-line as well in the store, keeping the store stocked and on-trend.

Hygge – Senior Barista

£9.32 hourly rate.

  • Various shift patterns will include evening and weekend work, providing backup as required to be discussed in the application process.
  • This role will include open and closing the store securely, cashing up and overseeing the day-to-day running of the café and community space as well as supervising a team of Baristas.
  • Experience in opening and closing, cashing up, hospitality industry
  • Ensuring customers receive a warm welcome as they arrive and that they receive excellent customer service whilst with us.
  • Prepare and sell coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for each drink, such as espresso latte cappuccino flat whites etc.
  • As well as covering for the cook when necessary.

Hygge – Cook

  • £9.82 hourly rate.
  • We are looking to hire a cook to join our team at Hygge café who is interested in helping to produce great quality food for our guests.
  • You will also assist in making coffee at times when needed, along with the Senior Barista leading the team, and ensuring objectives are met, opening, and closing the café when needed.
  • As well as cashing up when required.
  • The candidate should have experience in these parts of the business and demonstrate a good understanding to be a great fit for this role you should have a consistent work history and previous experience as a senior staff member or a passion for great food to serve to our customers good eye for detail and team mentoring is also a plus
