However…
These buttons do not erase your browsing history (sites you’ve visited) or stop someone from knowing you’ve visited if they are monitoring your device or have access to your browsing history remotely.
If you think your devices (phone, computer, ipad, alexa) or internet search activities are being monitored, access this website from a device that isn’t being monitored, like, for example at an internet cafe or library or using a family member or friend’s phone.
When you wish to visit websites that you do not show up in any history…
- Sign out of other accounts, such as Google, Facebook, and/or Instagram before your start browsing.
- Use your internet browser settings to increase your privacy by turning off browsing history or using the browser in private or incognito mode. Read more about browser settings here.
- You can also decide to use a very secure browser such as Tor… but again don’t use it to sign up for anything with.
- If it is safe to do so, delete the website URLs that you don’t want to be stored from your browser history. Read how to delete your history from your browser (on your phone and accounts) here.
