Statement in Response

We are aware of the article published on The Times website and the newspaper 15th March 2019.

Rotherham Rise is committed to providing the best possible support for women, men, and children who have been affected by domestic abuse and child sexual exploitation.

All members of service delivery teams are subject to an enhanced DBS check which is renewed every three years.  Suitable references are obtained for all new members of staff, who are subject to a formal probation period followed by ongoing internal supervision.

In addition, all of our staff are bound by professional conduct codes to declare any personal connection to, or interest in any individual case.  They are also bound by a professional duty of confidentiality not to discuss cases or client details outside of work.

Rotherham Rise has a duty not to directly or indirectly discriminate against any of its’ employees on the grounds of protected characteristics.
